Good morning Royal Sutton Coldfield,
Welcome back to the only Sutton Coldfield newsletter that brings the sunshine with it.
Yes, I’m back in the royal town after my trip to Morocco and although I’ve not brought the mid-twenties temperatures with me, there’s a fair bit of sunshine around this weekend to tempt you in to thinking Spring has arrived.
With the better weather there’s no excuse to stay indoors, and with plenty going on across the town this week you should be able to find something to keep you entertained.
This week we have features for the young, the Millennials and the not so young (which apparently is the category I fall in to much to the amusement of my wife) so we have you covered no matter what.
I’ve also blatantly abused my position of (little) power to use the sponsored slot to tell you about my newest launch and give you a juicy discount as a loyal Sutton Insider. It’s getting rave reviews just 10 days in so I hope you don’t mind me sharing it here.
If you do mind, skip the next section and start reading from there…

Better Than Coffee For Energy, Focus + Brain Health
When I’m not writing for Sutton Insider I have a few other ventures - and I’m really pleased to tell you my latest brand Ritual + Flow has now launched its first product - Matcha Flow - a coffee alternative designed to give you long lasting, clean energy without the negative side effects that can come with coffee (plus there’s loads more benefits too).
I’m a huge fan of matcha. I’m also an advocate for supplementing with adaptogens and vitamins to improve energy, focus and my brain health - especially focus and memory.
So I created Matcha Flow, which combines matcha, functional mushrooms, adaptogens and vitamins B5, B6 and B12 to give you longer-lasting energy without the jitters or crashes that can come with coffee.
You should also benefit from improved mood, immunity, and overall brain health, as well as reduced stress and anxiety thanks to the adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory properties of Matcha Flow’s ingredients.
What’s more - it tastes delicious!
But don’t take my word for it - the first reviews have started to roll in and you can read them for yourself on the website.
If you’d like to try it then you can save 15% on all orders (including the already discounted subscriptions) using the code SUTTONINSIDER when you place your first order before midnight on Monday.
(NOT QUITE IN SUTTON) SUTTON SPOTLIGHT
Eat Like Pavarotti At Pane & Vino
‘Pane & Vino’ translated to Bread & Wine - is there anything better than those two things?
This is foodie heaven - and although it’s just out of Sutton (by about 1km) it’s well worth a visit.

It’s headed up by the ex personal chef to Pavarotti, Shawky, and Matteo - and with images of a younger chef Shawky and Pavarotti adorning the walls, this intimate and unassuming restaurant on Gravelly Lane in Erdington serves up possibly the most authentic home made Italian food in Birmingham, possibly the UK.
And that’s no small claim, when you consider we are blessed in Sutton for good quality Italian restaurants across Mere Green, Boldmere and the town centre.
Pane & Vino has been so successful, they’ve already opened a second restaurant in the city centre - and that’s probably the second best Italian in Birmingham for home cooked traditional Italian food.
Think homemade bread and pasta, pizza, slow cooked meats, delicious desserts and great vino.
I highly recommend their home made focaccia and always keep an eye out on their specials as they have some real authentic Italian treats like porchetta. Bellissimo!!!
Right, that’s it… I’ve talked myself in to it and will be booking to go back soon.
Read more and check out their menu on the website here. You might be shocked by the prices!

Millennials Assemble In Sutton
Laura has taken great pleasure this week in telling me I’m just outside of being a ‘Millennial’ - a phrase used for people born from 1981 to 1996 so those who are currently 29 to 43 (or there about).
Why is this important?
A Sutton Coldfield resident called John has created a new group with the aim of bringing people together to make new friendships in and around Sutton by holding free themed event nights.
The first night is taking place this Saturday and the theme is Yellowstone, so get ready for a Wild West night filled with great vibes, new friendships and a lot of fun.
If you’re interested then dust off your stetson and get ready to join the Millennials Assemble at The Bishop Vesey in Boldmere at 7pm.
And if you are a month or few out of the Millennial bracket I don’t think anyone will notice so why not get involved.

Young Traders Market Coming To Sutton Coldfield

As you can probably tell, I’m a bit of entrepreneur at heart and I’ll never forget my first foray in to it when I was a kid - doing Young Enterprise. Which is why I was thrilled to see Sutton BID are bringing a Young Traders Market to Sutton Coldfield.
If you are or know someone who is a school, college, or university student with a side hustle, they’d love to hear from you/them. They will cover your insurance, provide a gazebo and table, and there will be plenty of advertising to ensure a successful day.
